Confused. The latch turns but does not lock the door. Do you change the handle, the inside latch or the hook that it locks into. Thanks

Lock is not functioning properly everything feels loose and you can lock it but it requires finessing The dimensions of the lock are 6" total height, 1" wide, 4 5/8" screw center to screw center. The latch on our patio door broke. It mates with a sash control handle with lever stamped pt.1963 2. The attached pictures are of the latch itself.

We need help! Our 19 year old home has a sliding door to a deck with absolutely no numbers, brand name or markings on it. The locking mechanism no longer Catches and locks the way it should. Do you have a part that might help us?

Two problems: Previous owner did not leave keys to this door. I need to replace the lock with a new one with keys. The brass mortise hook is broken. It's wiggly and does not catch the receiver plate.
