How & where is this sliding screen door lock installed?

Upon upgrading my patio door with new handles on the interior and exterior doors I want to also replace the interior lock on the interior patio door and the door jamb receiving plate along with the exterior lock for my screen patio door. Both of these pictures come from a 3 panel sliding glass/ screen door combination. The information etched on the door says PPG Herculite K Tempered Safety Glass 16CFR1201 CII , ANSI Z-971 1975 5/32U. I just ordered part 83-018 to replace my broken latch. As you can see by the picture, it broke when someone on the outside didn't know the the twist lock was engaged and yanked on the handle. This seems to be a really cheap latch for an expensive patio door set up. Might there be any other options t ... (cont.)

Where does the 83-036 install on the screen door to be able to lock it?

Need a screen door latch and pull replacement. I measure the distance from hole to hole as 2 1/4". The distance from the holes to the edge of the door is 1 3/8". there are no identifying labels on the door itself so unsure of brand. I have attached pictures. We are currently using a piece of v ... What is involved in attaching the 86-023 to the screen handle? Do I need to drill into the screen door handle? Do I need to chisel out a hole in the frame so that the lock slides into it?

Looking for the handle on the screen slider. Some times dogs are too smart for their own good. Thanks, Kevin
