This part is made of a black plastic. There are (2) 3/16' dia. holes for attaching. The part is 4" lg. x 1/2' wide x 3/4' high x 3/32" thick.high. The upstanding portion can be more than 3/4" high. I donot have a picture of the latch as of now but this looks the same, I the problem with the old latch as when you close the screen to go outside the latch slides down and locks the screen door so you can not get back in so hopeing that this new one will stop this problem... will be ordering toda ... During a replacement of the existing Simonton sliding screen doors, we noticed a significant change in the handle and locking mechanism. I am looking for the keeper for the latch in the sliding screen door. The keeper is screwed into the door jam with 2 screws. It is approximately 3/4" in height and 1/2" wide.
