I have 2 sets of spiral balances that need to be replaced. 1. 31X 5/8ths inch non-tilt spiral balance with a plate at the botton(Pic #3). 2. 18X 5/5ths inch non tilt spiral balance with a hook that attaches to the window. Hello, We are replacing the spiral tube windows balances for vintage windows measuring 5/8" diameters and 31" tubes. They are the old vintage ones. Do the updated spiral tubes work in lieu of the vintage ones?

My windows are circa 1960. Below are photos of the size and type currently installed. Since I'm between sizes offered by Swisco, I'm wondering if I should order just larger or shorter than current? Current measures about 30.50 - 30.75".

I've tried several Swisco orders trying to make my windows work again. In the attached photo, the one at the end is one of the Swisco Series 400s I tried. The original is fatter, but when I tried your series 500, it was too tight, and my handyman would have to carve out the channel to make it fit ... (cont.)

Hi I need replacement spiral balances. the dimensions are in the photographs and the diameter of the tube measures 9/16" (so I guess it is a 5/8" tube).

I am trying to find a replacement balance. The window is single hung non tilt. The balance is a spiral 31" blue tip. I need the correct part number and the proper tool to remove and replace. Thanks I will need 2 initially and then I will order 230.

Attached are pictures of the sash I need replaced. The sash is in a white plastic sleeve and is flexible.
