Double Hung Window Spiral Tilt Balance
Hello, I need help to identify and replace parts for a double hung window. I need: Spiral tilt balance Pivot bar Balance shoe I have one window with about 28" for each sash (length of the spiral tilt balance) and one window with about 32" for each sash. Thank you

Balance identification for conventional tilt vinyl windows
I'm in the process of replacing spiral window balances in 20-yr.old conventional tilt vinyl windows. How do I determine the correct balance weight rating to order if there are no numbers on the balance? Also, some windows have jambs that have pulled away (old house) leaving the sashes barely hanging ... (cont.)

Spiral Balance color
I need to replace some broken spiral balances. They are 5/8 in diameter, but have a yellow tip. The windows are large (sash is 33" tall, 48" wide, and they are heavy. I haven't removed one yet to see how heavy, but they are definitely heavy. Is there a level of yellow that is beyond black? ... (cont.)

Tip Color for Spiral Balance -- no white?
I'm replacing a spiral balance in a Barricade vinyl tilt window. It is a 32-inch, 5/8th diameter model, but it looks to me like the tip is either white or a very faded yellow. Window spring balances
We have some windows that the spring balances have become too weak to hold the windows up. They are the 5/8 X 32 and have the red tip on the bottom. The window has two of these springs and weighs 20 pounds on it's own. I'm thinking that the manufacturer put the lightest weight spring to save cost ... (cont.)

The website indicates that black tip, 5/8" balances are good for a sash weighing up to 40 pounds. I have a sash weighing 45 pounds, what balance should I use?

alcoa window replacement parts
Window has upper and lower section. Upper section is stationary and lower section opens and tilts inward. Window does not stay up and falls out when trying to tilt inward. windows won't stay up
We have tilt windows that were installed 4 years ago just before we bought this house. We know that they were installed by a "handy man" and not a window company.
