This part is on a 50-year-old Pella window. It will roll one way but will not let me roll it back.

The measurement of the outer screws on the base plate - center to center is 4-3/8". The measurement of L30841 bracket from where it's attached to the operator to the joint of the other bracket is 4" - center to center. Hello, Can I simply pop off the brown cover and replace it with product 39-107FK? I removed the existing crank in the photo for further context. Crank threads are stripped, window opens but can't close by crank. Hoping to go through and replace all in house. Windows ordered by previous homeowners so don't know anything more.
