Due to the front of our house facing direct sunlight, some of our latches are 'crumbling'.

These came with the surface mount sliding door handle assembly 82-005. No instructions came with the parts.

Do I need to remove the bottom of the window trim to remove/replace this Thanks, Lee

I'm seeking a Rod balance Lawson SH 7700 series as seen in the attached images.
