tc-640 coil barlancer what coil would we use to replace it

I could use the whole assembly, but with the crank on the left side of mechanism.

I wanted to ping you folks first before ordering. A balance rod broke so I need to replace it. What advice can you give to a homeowner attempting to replace a balance rod for the first time?

I ordered the S395-27, 2650 channel balances from you and when I installed them the window just fell and the top plastic broke off. Is there a way to fix the actual window? Did I do something wrong? The top of the window was already cracked. Pictures attached.
