Markings: Truth, 45034-lh. Arm looks to be around 9.5" from pivot to end.

Pivot shoe is damaged on 25 year old double hung aluminum tilt window. Problem is to remove pivot shoe. There is a black plastic insert held by a screw which is quite stubborn and will not allow me to remove pivot shoe. Is there a way to remove old shoe without dislodging this plastic strip or do I ... Hello! Just bought a house with broken coil balances as pictured. No manufacture marking except found "Tru-Therm 1997" stamped in metal spacer between thermo-glass pains. Sashes are 17.5" high.
