I have older Treco windows that use 15-046 pivot shoe and series 600 spiral tilt window balances, I can't see how to remove the shoe. Do you have to use a spreader tool or can you cut a piece of the track out to replace the shoe? Thank You

These are window keys for Noro Jeld-Wen aluminum storm screen window frames that fit into a combination storm screen unit. They were manufactured in 1994. This is for a non-tilt window. The metal portion measures 27" X 9/16". It has the following stamped onto the metal, "26 4 KO CALDWELL". I would guess a Series 351, but don't know how to judge the weight, based on the numbers stamped on the metal. Thanks.

I recently cleaned the spiral balances on my 20-year-old double-hung windows where only the lower pane tilts inward.
