It's the shoe and the upper coil. The upper piece says parent number 6,978,169 and is 1.25 inches wide. I don't see any markings on the shoe, unfortunately.

I have two broken spring balances in a window. The coil has a #7 stamped on it and is 1/2 wide by approximately 45 inches long (tough to measure. I thing your #7 replacement will work but not sure if it is 1/2 wide. ThanksNorm
