These windows are very old, I don't remember when we got them. But there are no rollers in the bottom of the windows. just some kind of a pad that the window slide on.

I have recently purchased a house with a number of these windows which have the same problem. The pivot lock shoe on one side has gotten stuck at the bottom and, I assume, as a result of forcefully attempting to close the window fully, has bent the pivot pin and broken the tilt lock. I believe it's a window balance stop. It is attached to the top of my Millard window. It is the piece that engages the new balances I bought from SWISCO.
