This white plastic thing is spring loaded and it locks the vertical sliding window in a position if the window is partially open. There are two of these on every window. The windows are 30 year old from Pacific Industries. I can send you a picture of you like.

Hello, Locking mechanism does not lock; wheel sprocket which catches the hook at mortise does not stay put. Slider is about in the 1960's, no name brand available. it is a side opening window (over 20 years old from Milgard) with henges on the left side looking out from the inside. In closing the window it makes popping noises with the window not moving. the long arm in the opener is about 10.5 inches long.

The metal piece that turns 180° to secure the lower window to the top window is missing.

just installed 2 new balances and the window only stays open about 10 inches what did i do wrong?

Recently have had to replace the double glazed glass in my 23+ YO Kohler windows. The window shoe is 9/16" thick, 1.125" wide, 1.375" tall. Pictures of the pin that engages the shoe are also attached. Can youo recommend the proper replacement part? Thanks, Jim

we have certienteed windows that needs these parts. They were manufactured in 2003. the shoe measures 1 1/4 wide, 1/2 inch thick and 1 1/8 inch tall with single coil spring. The window that it is lifting is 30 X 24. No numbers are on the spring. It is a model 217 window.
