Pivot shoe is damaged on 25 year old double hung aluminum tilt window. Problem is to remove pivot shoe. There is a black plastic insert held by a screw which is quite stubborn and will not allow me to remove pivot shoe. Is there a way to remove old shoe without dislodging this plastic strip or do I ... I adjusted the spring tention and put window back, then I heard a cracking sound so I took window out and can see that the tube is slightly bent and slightly seperated at top. I can not find any names, mumbers or markings.

Hello, two quick questions regarding the 15-045 Pivot Shoe: 1) What are the cam lock opening dimensions? 2) Is this compatible with the MI Window Series BB740? The dimension sure seem spot on, but would appreciate added assurance from an expert. Thanks!

I found a post on your web site about replacement spiral balances for tilt windows that would work on Carefree windows. I ordered two 900-27 spiral balances. I am looking for a show comparable to the picture attached. I am using a 3/8" spiral balance. The dimensions of item #15-045 is identically to what I need but the pivot pin housing is different and the 15-405 style wont work with my pivot pins on the windows.
