15-045 Pivot Shoe, 3/8" Thick

I ordered and received the 15-045 Pivot shoes for the Keller windows I am working on. The shoe is perfect size except for the slot that accepts the pivot bar. It is a little too narrow. (I made it work by taking a pair of pliers and squeezing the pivot bar to make it slightly narrower) The Pivot ... (cont.)

I have a number of windows with the sash pivot bar rusted and broken both inside the pivot lock shoes and worse, inside the bottom of the window. I can not get the pivot bar out of the window or the pivot lock shoes. I think the replacement part numbers are 26-040 for the pivot bar, and 15-045 for ... (cont.)

I am ordering balance springs and shoes. Can you confirm the color of tip to use? My current springs do not have any color coding. Length: 39" Diameter: 3/8" Sash weight: 19 lbs I am looking at series 900 sash springs and 15-045 shoes. For my single hung windows.

Hello, Could you please identify a suitable replacement for these pivot bars and shoes. If possible we'd prefer any replacement hardware be corrosion resistant (i.e. stainless or some type of polymer) as these windows are located beside a salt water sound. Thanks, Eric

Hi, The window like in pic 5 will barely hold a position when open, so I thought I should place the spiral balancers. I ordered 4 series 400 35" spiral balancers last week and just installed two on a window. Window now can half-hold like pic5. I wonder that i may need to change the shoes too? ... (cont.)

Our home was built in 1981 and we still have the original windows. It has aluminum windows made by Better Bilt Windows, which is no longer in business. 1) For a tube spiral balance on a tilt window, what's the difference between one with the green tip and one with the red tip? 2) For a 3/8" Diameter Tube Balance with red tip, I see you have about three kinds of 3/8" Pivot Shoes available on your web site. Just moving into a 1987 house. Most of the windows do not stay open and none of the Spiral balances have color tips. Hello- I can not find any manufacturer information or labels anywhere on my windows. They are aluminum frame, single-hung tilt windows.
