Attaching wool pile weatherstripping
I purchased the 3/16" by 5/32" wool pile to replace stripping in interior aluminum storm windows. After further examination of the window, I have determined that the weather strip does not go into a channel but is rather applied to the edge of the frame. Do you have any suggestions for how to adhe ... (cont.)

Wool Pile with dlexible backing
The track in the removable double hung aluminium windows that I have (no name available), are not made to slide new wool pile in place. However using a small straight screw driver I can remove the old ones as the backing seems to be made of cloth. Due to wear it is hard to tell if I need the 58-001 ... (cont.)

Weatherstripping for double hung windows
The windows are 21 years old. The name on the latch is Alenco. The rubber piece when flattened is the same width as the piece it sits on which is 5/16 of an inch. At that point the piece wraps down 3/16 of an inch and then into a groove

Wool pile replacement.
I recently ordered item # 58-127 but could not get it into the tracks of the window. The base was too large. On measuring again I believe I now have a more accurate measurement of what is needed.... a 1/8 x 1/8 black weather-stripping. When I last called you requested photos of the window. All ... (cont.)

1970's era storm windows wool pile
These are old storm windows, probably installed in the 1970's. The photos are the best sample I could find. Most other places are shrunken/disintegrating. For the weatherstripping/wool pile that I need to replace, I measure the width of the base as 3/16". But the height seems to be 1/8" or l ... (cont.)

Woolpile weatherstripping images
The storm windows are possibly from the 1960's? The profile of the weatherstripping is very narrow (1/8 " - 3/16") and the depth is hard to determine because it is so worn - maybe an 1/8". I have included images showing an overall half section of a storm window, details of the weatherstripping b ... (cont.)

Wool pile slippage
I ordered 3/16" x 5/32" white wool pile which is the right size and it fits great; however, when I push the window back in place and raise or lower the sash the wool pile partially slips out of the track, either up or down. How can I get it to stay in place?
