Single Hung Tilt Window Balance Parts
My house was built in 1999 and I can't find any information on the window manufacturer. In several cases, the part that secures the window pane to the balance has broken. Window support replacement part needed

Need TILT replacements
The rod is 24" including the metal part sticking out, 5/8" wide. There is a dark blue piece crammed up inside. The dimensions for the shoe are ABOUT 1" x 2" x 1/2" give or take a 16th. We just bought a house that has the original Alcoa windows. The windows still look good besides they do not open very easily. We had someone look at them and he believes they need new springs put in and rebalanced. Do I just need to buy replacement balances for this?

My tilt window, 60x46 Carefree window needs replacement spiral springs and shoes. The spring is 29", black tip, 3/8". What part number do I need? The shoe is 1/2" thick x2" height x 1" wide. What part number and tool do I need?

Spiral Balances
I watched the video of how to replace the spiral balances and am anxious to get started. I am having difficulty getting the sash out of the window however. The "give it a twist" part is not working for me at all. Is there a way to get the sides to slide better to allow removal of the sash? ... (cont.)

Help me find this pivot shoe
Help I can't find the part to fix my windows. Here are some pictures of the parts to 4 of my windows that will not stay up. Alcoa Window will not stay open
We have some Alcoa windows with the number 2093 on the glass panes. They will not stay up when opened (one actually falls hard). I am looking to replace the parts that will hold the window in the open position.

removed defective part by prying channels apart with flat "L" pry bar. Do I need to use the same procedure to replace the new part (15-173)?
