Hi, We need to replace 10 channel balances. The model is 28" Series 371 Model 2740. Ours use a Winged Top (Part. 19-037) and Shoe with Part Number 15-005 if we are correct. I had a previous order 02/18/2012 # 332692 and ordered 28"" series 371 channel balance. These are for same type of window. Markings 2740 measures 28inch 2340 b.s.I measures 24" I believe the 371 series is correct?

I have broken or roughly operating lifts for windows: All seem similarly and minimally marked. They are nominally 1/2 inch channel. 1 - 20 inch 4 - 28 inch 8 - 40 inch 28 inch weighs about 20 lbs 40 inch weighs about 38 lbs Thanks, Dan

I am looking for the top, nylon guide for a 2740 balance channel and hope you can help me identify the correct part number.

I have a 2740 channel balance. The shoe appears to be a 15-001 but I didn't see anything like the top. I found a similar one on this site labeled 19-037, however mine is only 1 1/16" at its widest point (the "wings"). The channels on my windows are only about 1 1/8" wide.

I believe I have Rollyson windows 1984 yr. Channel balance 28 in. Stamped 27-D B.S.I. Window wt. 20 lbs. Bottom shoe looks like your #15-005 and dims. Match. Top looks like #19-031 the width on winds is 1 1/16 on old part and 7/8 on new. Height of old is 7/16 and 5/8 on new?? Sash caps are your ... (cont.)

I need to replace the balances on my window and I cannot exactly make out the stamp code on the originals. It is either a "2720" or a "2730." How exact do I have to be? Would either one work for my window, as long as I ensure the L x W x D measurements are a match? Thanks!

I can't find my balance on your website. But I did see something similar on Discussion 37167. Could that be mine?

I have Alenco windows installed around 1984. The balance is stamped 2730. Does your product S371-28 work in the Alenco window. If so do I need the black top caps and no additional pieces? All the plastic pieces on the current windows have failed.

I know the size of balance springs I need based on the stamped #2740. I don't know what clips I need though.
