I am trying to replace the channel balances for a Silver Line single hung window. The balances are 15" long (measuring just the metal section). When asked for the weight option what is stamped on the original balance doesn't match up to the options given. The original balance has 15 10 BS1 FC stampe ... (cont.)

Numbers on the back of balances: 14 5 GX CMC 11. Sorry, the handyman removed the balances before I could take pictures of them installed. Hello, I measured dimensions per your specs and the 15 inch series 390 is what I would require. The only thing I'm not sure of is the sash weight range. The stamp on the side says 14E U.S.B. Please advise. Thank You, Dan

Hello, I need to replace the two channel balances pictured. The cord is frayed on one, and broken and reattached but too short on the other one. These are 1/2" wide and metal 15" long. I have season all windows model 135. I need 2 different sized channel balances. One is about 17.25" long and has "1610" stamped on it. The other is about 15.5" long and has "1410" stamped on it. The springs in the channel balances have broken.

I purchased 4 window channel balances and although I did get the correct ones, I feel there is not enough tension in the spring since my windows won't stay up. Is there a way to adjust or exchange these for ones with more tension?
