I am sure the above item is what I need 2 of. Mine is 29" overall, the length of the metal part is only 28". Mine does not have a 4 digit number stamped on it. It has 27 5 BSI RN stamped on it. The lock on my window says Jordan. The code 28 2 ER CALDWELL is printed on the balancer body. The window weighs 12.5 pounds and the length of the metal body is 29 inches. I have Jordan windows in my home that have broken window balances, the windows don't stay up on their own. The marking on the balance is 2830. I need to replace a 29" balance stamped "2840 AA". I have found part S390-29 option 2840. It comes preassembled with top 19-002 and shoe 15-001. My shoe is exactly 1" deep while the 15-001 is 1 1/8".
