Please match up my 21 inch by 1/2 inch balance. Color on tip looks white.

the mounting hole is 3/4" from spring mount. The bottom tab is 3/8" wide 1/2" long from the spring. no colors found on any windows. We have 24" windows, 36" windows, and some 44" windows.

Spiral window balance on aluminum windows installed in 1968. The windows no longer stay up. No identifiable markings on the spiral balances or windows. The length of each spiral balance is 21". Not including the metal spiral that sticks out a bit on the end..

I have ordered a pair of 21" series 400 red bushing balances for a single hung aluminum window. Please tell me how many turns the balances get to be considered properly charged? Or at least a randge, with actual numeric values? All I've seen it to give them a "few" turns??? Thanks in adv ... (cont.)
