I have two very old wooden windows. I need one pair of balances that have a yellowish color end. The other pair I need has black ends. Both plastic tubes measure 19 Inches long. I have windows that are made by Marvin Coast line series. The balances are broken The balance looks like plastic tube 3/4" in diameter attached with the screw tithe window frame on the top and on the bottom to the bracket that is screwed with 2 screws to the bottom of the sash Looks like a spring ... I have a 19 inch 5/8 " tube balance. I need the parts to go into the both of the window as well. They are white plastic and were broken. Scott

Hello, I am fixing the wooden windows in my attic and am looking for replacement spiral window balances and the attachment pieces that nail to the bottom of the sash. The length of the tubes are 19" and 5/8" in diameter with white tips. The attachment piece is 2 3/4" long and I didn't see them on yo ... (cont.)

These are from the 1950's I think. Non-tilt window. The foot is 3/8 x 3" long. The tube is 9/16" diameter and 19" long. Each sash weighs about 8#. What would you suggest as a replacement balance and foot. Thanks, Randle

The six you sent are correct lenth and red tips but the ends are different. see photos

Can you suggest a replacement part for a channel balance, 1/2 inch diameter 19 inch long tube with red end spiral balances originally installed in 1972 in Alenco non tilt aluminum windows. Alenco does not make these now. I think there is a notch/hook in the lower end of the window that the balance ... (cont.)

I need to replace the spiral balances in 32" wide by 20" high by 1 1/4" thick wood window sashes. Each sash has two 27 1/2" by 7 1/2" glass panes. The house was built in 1963.
