i bought eight bifold door pivot pin, benchmark from swisco 3/9/11. part number 21-002 i will use for the bottom over time, however the top pins need to be about 6 1/2" instead of 5 3/4. any help i would appreciate.

I have Benchmark steel bifold doors on all my closets and they are hard to open and close. Do i need to replace the whole pivot pins or could I get away with just replacing the caps that look like they are worn out?

Does it matter which piece goes on the top or bottom of the door and are they the same piece for both??
