We are trying to identify the proper springs for replacement in Certainteed tilt windows circa 2000. The sash weight is approximately 20 lbs and the original springs have the number 10 stamped on them. Please get back to us with any information you have. Thank you,Jim

Good afternoon Try to replace the 2 window balancers shown in the photo.. Window in question is 24"x 33".. I cant seem to find any numbers on the coils themselves. Any way you can point me in the right direction?? Thanks

It's for a Certainteed Window The Pringle's shoe does have any visible numbers on it but it is pictured. The Spring corner says H8637MXX, the roller or retainer behind it say H8638MXX. The spring coil has the #500 printed on it. It a good size window bottom sash is 35 7/8 x 32 1/16. Another question ... (cont.)

Both coil balance springs broke on a Certainteed double hung window. The only number I see stamped on the coil is 10. Is there a Model S170-410? or will a S170-409 be compatible. GM

Hi. I inherited 2004 replacement windows when I bought my house. Some of the windows will no longer stay open on their own because their pulleys are broken in one way or another. Hi, I've attached to photos of the spring balances that have broken. I think the numbers on the short spring are 335 SA. The numbers on the long spring appear to be 405 LK. They're 3/4 inch wide. These 2 springs are stacked on top of each other and attached to the "carrier" into which the bottom ... (cont.)

The spring looks like the 405 series 171 however the number I see on the spring is 361 It is very hard to read. Help...Thanks

I have certain teed single hung Windows. Each side take two coil springs 405J. What is the difference between the 171-405 and 170-405?

Stamped on the coil is 405 j. All I need is one balance but would take a few more if available

Hi, I need to change the coil spring balance from one side of one of the older Simonton double hung windows....the only markings I can find on one of the springs to identify the correct part are 405J.....I attach photo...... Many thanks, Martin
