I purchased a 1925 house in Portland that has aluminum windows with broken channel balances (in addition other issues). The one I'm starting with is a 26" long, 1/2 inch wide balance that appears to have been made by Northwest Aluminum Products. I looked online and it seems that company was purchase ... (cont.)

The balancers I am replacing have the following part number stamped on the back side: 25 4 FK Caldwell The length of the metal frame is 26". The width of the back side of the metal frame is 9/16". The width of the front side is 5/8". The top guide appears to be your 19-002 and the bottom shoe(IM ... (cont.)

It is 26 inches long. Caldwell 25 2 ES . Wide is 0.5 inches. Do you know which one I should buy?

We purchased our home new in 2002. The window balance on an upstairs single hung window broke and needs replaced.
