Can I use a stronger stamp than what my sash weight needs?

What would be the result of selecting a balance rated for a heavier sash? For example, what if I am replacing a pair labeled 26 4, which I understand to mean sash weight from 19 to 26 and requires stamp 2640, but choose instead stamp 2650, rated for 26 to 30. Hello, I am researching your products to find an appropriate spring balance for my single hung non tilt windows. The old (broken) part has a stamp on the metal channel that says "26C USB". Hello! We just moved into a new house where all of the balances have tossed out except this one. We can't see any numbers or other forms of identification on it. It's 1/2in wide and 27in long. I think it could be the 380 or 385 model, but I'm not certain. Thanks!

The markings read 26 3 caldwell. From your website I believe this is am S380-27. It is 1/2 in wide. The metal channel is 27 inches long. The bottom guide is 1 inch deep and both are winged. Do you agree?
