I need to replace a double hook mortise lock and handle, and rollers for a Milgard SGD-C30-96X96 5621/5631 series sliding door. Which would be the best replacement parts and/or sets for this? Please advise.

I want to replace the existing door handle (photos below) With a handle with an exterior key locking mechanism like the one you sell. I need one that is compatible with Millard Tuscany series 1" overall dual pane sliding glass door.

I don't see any numbers on it, hopefully it's recognizable but it's a little on the older side.

I wanted to convert the existing sliding door handle to include an external lock mechanism. I now think I can see the problem as lock shaft does not line up with the interior latch rod. I am trying to install this lock and need assistance. Do I have to cut the part that I've circled in my photos, if so how do I cut it ? It is too long and everything else on the door fits great.
