Is the photo and the number on the part enough to determine the correct balance to replace or do I need to remove and measure length

Unable to remove from frame at this time - channel will have to be cut or "spread" ..... would like to replace all pieces (cover, spring etc.) necessary to make complete repair ... only marking appears to be 7.5 lbs. ..... thank you - appreciate the help.
