Can you replace the string on an Andersen sash balance?

The strings have broken on 2 of my Anderson windows. These windows are seldom opened up since we have central air. What could be the cause of the strings coming loose? Hello, I have a front window that no longer stays up. It appears a window spring wore out and broke in a few places. I attached a picture of the spring that is still intact. Window channel balances

Need four of these parts quickly. They are 36 inch overall length. They are 9/16 wide. The printed code is 34–3. With maybe HK after the code. And it says CALDWELL after that.Can you help? We are moving and need to get these replaced within about a week
