Hello! I'm refinishing windows on my 1850s home. I have a few windows in the house that are more modern, and they are using these balance rods instead of the weights. I've not been able to find an exact replacement and almost all of them are broken in some way.

Hello, I am looking for the guy parts for this rod and the plastic cover.

The only marking on the balances was a 4 on the coil spring. These units are approximately 1-3/8"wide, 1/2" deep and 3-15/16 in height. These are installed on A-1 Wholesale double hung windows that are 27-1/4 x 56-1/4 inches in 10/15/2003. Several windows balances are not working and any help is ... (cont.)

The balance shoe releases from the tilt balance and makes it almost impossible to open the window(very poor design). I have included pictures of the balance shoe and tilt balance.
