I'm wondering about the new 39-025 arm link, it doesn't have the half moon cut out in the metal, it's solid. Will that interfere with the window closing? Sorry I'm a novice with repairs

This is from a house that was build in 1925. The arm that comes out of the box does not protrude out of the box when fully close which makes it difficult to identify the correct window operator. Ordered 39-026 in white and it is wrong crank operator for my windows.
-as shown in pictures: The part that moves with the handle) is shaped to curve facing up. My original handles all have that part curved to face down.
