old style screen door latch. Must operate by spring? I did not take apart yet want to make sure parts are available?

I purchased the 40-150 inside handle. When I installed it I found the latch does not reach the plate. The original handle is 1.5" from the center line of screws to the strike plate while the 40-150 is 1". I tried flipping the plate so it protrudes further but that did not work either. Broken inside latch and lock

I trying to find a RAMCO 1-3/4" Screen door latch that clasp over the claving. Has no latch receiver.

Need to replace the inside latch only if possible. Would the 40-053 be a suitable replacement or would we need to replace the entire lock set with your 40-177? Important: Can the outside lever be reversed to face the hinges? Thanks in advance!

Recently this jalousie door handle / lock broke after 37 years. I was pulling the inside lever in, as usual, and getting ready to slide the locking bar into position, when the inside lever pulled all the way off.
