spring location
At the risk of sounding totally stupid, when you place the pin into the frame, is the spring supposed to drop into the hole into the interior of the frame itself? Or is it supposed to stay on the outside, between the pin end and the frame?

Type of pin metal?
What type of metal are these pins? I live in a coastal environment and the original pins for my Peachtree screens totally disintegrated in only 6 months. I purchased the plastic pins from a hardware store - the same type you have - and they are too short.

REPLACING DAMAGED SCREEN PLUNGERS
When I removed a window screen in order to replace the screening, the plunger springs were damaged. How do I replace them, and are there different sizes. If there are, how do I determine what size I must get for replacements? Thanks, Richard
