81-128 Andersen Sliding Glass Door Roller

I am looking for a set of replacement casters for our sliding door. As you will see in the pictures it has a number 7116A-5 on one side and the letter B on the other as well as patent info and number.

Today I tried replacing the original sliding glass door rollers 81-128 purchased from Swisco. I've attached to this email pictures of the correct ones needed for replacement. The number stamped on the roller is #31761. The measurement from screw hole to screw hole is approximately 6 inches. ... (cont.)

My Anderson sliding door was installed back in the mid to late 1980's. Door works fine bine getting hard to roll back and forth. How would I know what model roller to buy? Can't find model number for this door. Does one size fit all?-Thanks!

Thanks for contacting us, Mal! It looks like you just have the inside portion of the whole roller unit removed. There is probably an outer housing still installed in the door. I have the original rollers installed. They flair out and are pressed into the wood. It seems like I'll break the wood if i try to pull out the existing roller housing. Three questions. 1.) What model is my replacement. 2.) How can I remove the housing w/out cracking the wood OR 3.) can ... (cont.)

the anderson rollers you have on your site, do they replace ALL anderson sliding patio doors ? Also, I would like to replace the weather stripping/gaskets. The door was installed in 1985 and is vinyl coated on both sides.

I think the roller or rollers are worn out because the door doesnt slide easily and doesn't slode smoothly. it sort of bounces as it slides. I can't find a model # for this door. Anderson says my UNsliding patio door dates from 1986, do I go with 81-128 rollers? Also there is a felt running along the on the bottom of the door that came off is there a replacement? Sort of looks like a sweeper, brushlike. Thanks

I have a customer that has an anderson gliding door. The door was very hard to operate. I was able to remove the door and inspect the rollers, it appears that one wheel on the front tandem rooler set has come free from the bearing. I believe the rollers I'm looking for are stock #81-128. I already had the door off once last week to lube my old rollers (didn't work so well). How are the old rollers removed out of the opening? The wheels appear to be in the way.

Anderson use different rollers on different series doors through the years, the only true way to know is to remove the roller and look at it. If you get stuck trying to match the roller up, send pictures of it to us and we will see if we can identify it.

Take a look at SWISCO product code 81-149, this might be what you are describing.
