82-002 Sliding Door Handle Set, 6-5/8"

I have removed this part not much info it measures 7 1/4 long by not quite an inch wide. the lock mechanism itself has either 5378 or 5878. Not much help I know...I'm assuming these were installed in the mid to late 70's. Any help would be appreciated.Tina

This door was installed in 1970-ish

I ordered the Swisco part 83-036 and it doesn't quite fit. The measurements of the door are 1" thick and the opening is 7" long by 3/4". Can you please advise a comparable dual sided handle with lock? Thank you

A handyman took the inside mechanics of the door handle to see if he could find a replacement handle Now, 3 months later I can't find him. I ordered sliding door handle set 82-002 after researching it on your site. The handle fits perfectly but when I install the unit sent, the hook is upside down, meaning the hook wants to go up into the catch from below rather than down into the catch from above. Trying to find a replacement for this lock

This lock needs replacement, looking on your website I think a replacement lock may be lock number 82-002. The handle is still in good shape and can be re-used, will it fit on this lock, if not do you have a complete lock with handle. The color of the existing lock is black. Please advise. Thanks. ... The house was built in 1976 and the sliding door is original equipment. The door is 1" thick and the opening for the handle set is 7-3/16" x 13/16" (+-1/32).The existing set says "Woodbine Ind Ltd Japan" and the installation hole centers measure 6-5/8".
