Trying to find the correct replacement for our sliding glass door

I am replacing this old sliding glass door handle, with key lock, on my back slider. Here are the pictures of it. I do have 3 15/16" between the holes to mount. Door frame is 2" deep and 2 1/2" wide. Bought a replacement at Lowes everything lines up except where the key fits into the lock. Pictured is the lock I took out but the new lock opens full horizontally and this old lock is at a 45 degree. My sliding glass door purchased in 2007 stopped locking. I tried to take handle and lock apart and locking part fell down inside door. I found a replacement handle that will work but the lock part itself does not fit the slot in the door. The only model numbers etc from the door are in one of the ph ... (cont.)

Need to replace with lock

So what do i do if i cannot remove mortice lock. i can take out screws and it will not drop. moves around and is loose but is like door is built around it. Is a williams door with a 2265 handle set. I believe the 82-218 is the replacement. measurements look good. but i have no idea how to get old ... (cont.)
