I am looking to replace the handle set on the pictures shown above. I have tried the big box stores but they do not seem to have the size I am looking for. Help !!

I ordered part #82-218 Mortise Lock, round face, 3-11/16". The part is unfortunately at fraction too big. I cannot fit it in the door opening. Part #060-1943. I have the door handles but the interior latch portion broke. I need a replacement. Can I buy just the latch or do I need the entire unit. I don't know the part number for the latch.

It appears the 82-226 will replace this lock.It does have a 3 11/16 bolt pattern with 45 degree slot . Does this seem to be the correct replacement?

I watched the video on how to install the 82-218 mortise lock and assumed removing the old lock would just be the reverse but it doesn't seem to be. Is there a difference when removing the old lock? I cannot get the old one out.
