Hi, I have a problem with a thumb turn on a sliding patio door and am wondering if I can fix this myself, and how to go about doing so. The problem is that the thumb turn (interior, lever type, with keyed lock on the exterior) is loose or jiggly, and does not properly engage the hook on the mortise ... (cont.)

We are looking for these replacements for a customer. THe lock measures 4" between screws top to bottom. 3 3/4 midpoint. We need the handle, the lock and the latch on the door side.

I have a mortise lock that is defective. I think a spring is broken. The lock hook tends to get stuck inside rather than "reaching out" to grab the catch on the door frame.
