Sliding Patio Door Lock
I need 2 replacement locks for Marvin Trimline Sliding Patio Doors. These were purchased in 1996, before Marvin made changes to their product line. Keeping lock from dropping into door frame
What is the trick to not dropping the lock in the door frame during installation?

need help identifying lock

Identifying a mortise lock
I have a mortise lock that is defective. I think a spring is broken. The lock hook tends to get stuck inside rather than "reaching out" to grab the catch on the door frame. I think I need a 82-218 but I'm not 100% sure. I don't know who made the door. The inside handle looks like a 82-035 but the ou ... (cont.)

Broken Lock, need replacement
I am an agent that had a client buying a condo that has a broken sliding glass door. The condo is a modular unit and two locksmiths are stating they can't fix the door. Can you look at the lock and see if you have a replacement for it? Thank you! Kim

The 82-218 latch appears to be the exact replacement for my sliding glass door , which I have actually located in San Antonio Tx, BUT my latch has a extra escutchion type part that fits around the oval part of the latch and over the monting holes of the latch.
