I had questions regarding my spiral balance. I believe it’s 18 inches, 5/8 with orange tip. I do not see how it was hooked in to the sash since both spiral balances were already hanging loose. Restoring late 1930s windows with tube balances. The balances are secured to the sash on the bottom of the sash.

Hey, I spoke with a guy earlier today and he said to send a pic of what I needed. These are the standard size thickness but will need to be 40lbs due to the window being high impact. It is single hung. I will need 3 pairs ( 6 balancers )

I know I need a S500-18 spiral balance with a red tip. I'm now wondering which bracket to use with it? The existing bracket is 3/8" wide and 3 1/2" long. I have installed,but window didn't appear to have clip to hold it. It seems like it just goes up the hole. Should I add the piece of hardware that goes under the sill or is there a clip that fis in the hole?
