Top window won't stay up when unlocked due to broken part

Hi. Window weights 17 pounds. Their are 2 coils on each side of the window. The 2 coils are attached to each other. The coil is 1/2 inch wide. Thanks.

I have tilt-in vinyl windows with these coil balances. One picture shows the cover removed from the top (fixed) coil roller. The coil itself has "740" stamped into the metal. No other markings exist.
