how the heck is the plastic piece across top of 11600-17 supposed to come out? we managed to get one out and see that there is a metal box on each side of top-- sash balance box, i guess. and how is that sash balance box supposed to come out? thanks!

House has 1960 Bilt_Well double hung windows. Need to replace the Caldwell window balances which are 8"by 33/4" by 1." Would any of your Anderson window balances work? Thanks!

i have 4 windows with a sash balance that holds both sides and it looks like the #837 you have here. but my balances dont have that # instead they have a #8 on them and i dont know what brand. what do you recomend to replace them with?
