24-837 Andersen Sash Balance, 823, 827, 831, 837

I have Anderson double hung windows. I need to replace a sash balance. The lower pane glass measures about 32 1/2 by 20 /12 inches. The significant numbers that I can find are 11600-3 on the top side and 11600-17 on the bottom (as it is screwed into the window). The numbers in the corner are mu ... (cont.)

I have a few different size Andersen windows that require balance replacements. What's the easiest way to find out which balance I need for each window.

Thanks for posting. Please take a look at our 24-837 Andersen sash balance, which can replace balance boxes with the stamp 827.

We took apart all of our different windows and wrote down the numbers stamped on the balances. The pictures we took make it almost impossible to see the stamping but are attached in case you need them. how the heck is the plastic piece across top of 11600-17 supposed to come out? we managed to get one out and see that there is a metal box on each side of top-- sash balance box, i guess. and how is that sash balance box supposed to come out? thanks!

House has 1960 Bilt_Well double hung windows. Need to replace the Caldwell window balances which are 8"by 33/4" by 1." Would any of your Anderson window balances work? Thanks!

i have 4 windows with a sash balance that holds both sides and it looks like the #837 you have here. but my balances dont have that # instead they have a #8 on them and i dont know what brand. what do you recomend to replace them with?
