I'm looking for replacement balances for Anderson window. The numbers stamped on the existing balances are J48 519 10-88 as well as 11600-17. I can't find the numbers on your site that would match, so I'm looking for a suitable replacement.

I have a broken guide string on one side of the window and need to replacement my sash balance. This is an Andersen window. Should I do this in pairs or just do the one side that is broken?

I think these are old and need replaced. It's hard to see the numbers but they are 11600-2 J72 5#23 11-81 I'm thinking from reading previous posts that I need 523. Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi.I don't know the name of the part I need, but it is an Anderson double hung window. The cord that is in a spring box an attached to the window is broken. The # on the box is J12 5P31 377 I need 8 of them. Thanks Ron

I have an Andersen Double Hung window from about 1987. The glass on both the upper & lower sash measures 24 3/8" wide and 15 7/8" high. The code on the glass corner reads G2-86. The G could be a C and the 8 could be a B. I have removed both sash balances and I see a code of 11600-17 on each balan ... (cont.)

my balance is identified by several numbers 1600-17,11600-3, and J20 5#23 10-85. what replacement item do I order?

The part number on the balance doesn't match any number on any list. It appears the part was made in Canada. Could that be the difference. The part number appears to be J17 5# 6-85.

I would never have believed how difficult it would be to figure out what the right part number is to replace one of these balancers. Need to replace two Andersen window balances for double hung window. Markings on pull side are: 11600-2 and 171 5#23 9 81 Markings on opposite side are 11600-3 with US Patent numbers. Thanks Stan
