83-115 Pella Latch

I have an old Pella patio door close to 30 years old, the little handle on the outside of the screen door cracked off. I have attached 2 pictures one showing the handle and the other showing the piece that broke off. Would you have a replacement part? thank you.

Latch is not broken, but does not latch as if it is missing a spring to hold it in place. I have taken it apart, put it back together but still no way to lock or hold in proper position. The latch looks like your 83-115. So is there a spring or something to put pressure on the latch to hold in place ... (cont.)

Hi There, I watched your video and was able to replace the latch (part # 83-155), however, now the latch doesn't "grab" the bar like it used to so that it's securely fastened. Thanks, Beth

Hi Tom from Swisco, I bought a new replacement latch from Swisco for my older style Pella screen door. I got the single screw out of the inside door handle but that doesn't seem to release the handle. It's still attached at the bottom. Pic shows existing handle/latch. Photo 0362 shows broken thumb lever. Replacement of unit OK, or if it's possible to replace just the thumb latch, that's ok too. Thanks, Greg

I have purchsed the latch replacement part #83-115. My question is: To remove the screen door handle (Part No 83-123), do I use a sharp awl of some sort to pop off the "pella trade mark" tab? I assume there is a screw under this tab, and don't want to scuff up the handle trying to remove it if th ... (cont.)

the curved latch is broken on 2 of our sliding screen doors. Is there a replacement part for this? We cannot find any markings of model number.

My latch looks similar to your Product Code 83-115, but I think my handle is shorter. Will your replacement part work on my screen door? Does the handle length make a difference? Think I also need a Pella screen protector.

I removed the latch to put the new one in and the new latch will not work when i install it. I put the old one back and it work like it suppose do. The new latch does not spring back on the latch and the square does not line up.
