Drilling new holes for pivot bars

Can I drill a new hole in a window sash pivot bar if the pivot bar holes don't line up with the holes in the window channel??

Pivot bar rusted out and pair is stuck in pivot shoe and will not pull out

Hi, I have some windows and the pivot bar rusted out. It is still in the pivot shoe. On one I was just able to pull it out with pliers. However, 5 of them are rusted in and will not pull out. How can I get it out of there? Is there something that will devolve the rust and not hurt the pivot sho ... (cont.)

constant force coil balance needed

Hello, I am looking to replace the coil balance assemblies for a window. shoe width ; 1.25 shoe depth ; .5 coil spring thickness ; .5 8lb spring rating. There appear to be two coils in the assembly, but I am unsure if this is a single coil that snapped or if I must replace both. Thank you in ... (cont.)

Double coil and shoe?

Hi, I have to windows that will not stay up. The coil springs are broken on both sides and I'm looking for replacements. One shoe is also broken, but I'd prefer to replace them all. I can't see any stamps on the coils, but the window sash weighs 23 lbs. These are builder grade windows. Thanks. ... (cont.)
