18-188 5/8" Top Sash Guide

Sir, I have two small bathroom windows (Mill guard) that have broken balancers. The stamp on the balancer is 8 3 HL Caldwell. The balancers are block and tackle type and look like Your S380 or S385. I'm looking for a replacement part for this Milgard Window Balancer. The length (minus end clips) is 33 inches.

this plastic part is at the top of the window where the balancer should catch on. The broken one has the top of the piece broken off and the balancer stays up. What is it called?

Several of these plastic "stops" have broken in the window frame of my milgard windows. Please see attached. Not sure of what the correct name is for the part, but they appear to be used as stops for the window balancer. This particular balancer is the 31-6. Thanks. Bill

I do not have the original channel balance. Need help identifying the correct balance. I need left and right. I beleive the window is a Milgard because of the MM on the lock Thanks

I'm unable to find the part number to order this item. I ordered the corresponding channel balance (27" Series 380 Channel Balance S380-27 option: 2640)and it worked perfectly. The 18-015 sash guide looks exactly like what I need. The ones I need are 5/8" I ordered 2. The ones I got are 13/16" Anyway - What I need is the 18-015 in 5/8". I need a couple of these window rails ASAP, the pulleys broke on one and the plastic insert is also smashed that is mounter to the window( pictured in last pic) that needs to be replace ex aswell. Rail measures 1/2 x 27" Brand of window is milgard. Thanks Craig

I'm replacing the channel balances for a window. I am pretty sure that I need model S385-27 but I'm not sure of the stamp option. Attached is a photo of the broken one with the model markings on it. I have the same sash guide as shown in the picture above, they came out of a Milgard window and the 18-188 is not compatible with it. The 18-188 is a little too thin and do not have the extended lip to catch the channel balance properly. I'm not sure where to find the correct replacement. ... (cont.)

I ordered channel balance for these same windows awhile back, the part I am sending pictures for is the same window.

This is from the top edge of the bottom sash of a Milgard, non-tilting window. There are a couple of similar ones on your site, but nothing exact. It's 5/8" wide, about 9/16" deep, and 7/8" from the top to the screw hole. Any ideas? I don't want to order the other parts until I find these (so ... (cont.)
