Can you help me ID this part that came off of a channel balance - and where I can order some replacements? Thanks!

I don't see any clips or fasteners at the bottom of the non-tilt window. I was able to remove the defective balance from the bottom so I assume the unseen clip is damaged. Do I have to remove the window and if so, how is this done?

Hello, I have windows in a home built in 1986. The spiral balances are bad in every window. I can remove the old spiral balances and install the new ones the issue I am having is with the bracket that the small tab on the balance should catch. Dear Swisco, Thank you for your help. Aluminum window, single hung, balance diameter looks to be 1/2 inches, length is 29 inches, bottom of balance are rusted off, no shoe found in the window, Here are a few pictures,

I just bought a house, and all of the balances are broken. The windows are metal, single hung. They look like thin spiral balances.
