It's a piece of plastic that locks the locking handle in to place. As you can see it broke and now the handle won't lock.

I'm noticing several threads on this. Ours also broke this year (the left window) when you are looking outwards. Please verify if the LH 39-329 is the correct one for the left window and which handle is the correct replacement. I verified the sizing on these is the same as ours.
