I need two spiral balances for a window (non tilt) that weighs 40 lbs. The old spiral is blue tipped, 29" long, and 9/16" in Diameter. What balances should I order. I sent a question earlier but gave the wrong email. Thanks Ron

Please help me identify the replacement length for my spiral tilt window spring. The one I removed from the window measures 28-7/16" (length of metal casing), diameter is 3/8". Looks like a red tip, but the tip is pushed in. Do I need a 28" or 29" replacement?

Most everything is working but there's one little glitch I'd like to discuss. This is from a storm door panel. There are no distinguishing marks, numbers or stamps on the piece. We are located at Historic Fort Monroe, VA which was decommissioned as an Army base in 2011.

I am looking to replace these 3 cm metal plates on the outside of my Nuprime windows. Bees keep coming in through the windows missing this part. I don't know what they are called. I have attached two pics - the first without the plate and the second with the plate.

The pin is 5&7/8", cap has outside diameter 7/8", with the tip being 3/8"diameter, spring is 2&1/4", and clip fits over a 1/4" diameter pin. I am in need of 3 of the above described.

Hi - The set screw on one side of my storm door handles no longer holds, and I need a replacement. The exposed part of the spindle on the old handles is about 2" long and the spindle is in two parts, arranged to be about 1/4" square. The door is 1" thick. Do you think the 40-101 will fit? A couple weeks ago, i received from swisco4 balances. When installing today, 2 of the little plastic parts that insert into the top cracked when I was trying to pull them. recently purchased a 39-089 to replace the older one pictured next to it. control arm is the correct 5" but the crank arm on the old one is slightly different shape and 1" longer. HI, I just received item #82-055K, an Acorn keyed handle set for my sliding deck door. It does not come with any installation instructions. I don't quite get the lock part. The long thin brass part seems to be too long. Do you have any instructions?

I tried these folding handles w/covers for my 39-138, 39-141, 39-142 (white) operators. The spline fits but not the cover. Is there a cover or similar folding handle w/cover for these operators?

We have some windows that the spring balances have become too weak to hold the windows up. They are the 5/8 X 32 and have the red tip on the bottom. The window has two of these springs and weighs 20 pounds on it's own. I'm thinking that the manufacturer put the lightest weight spring to save cost ... (cont.)
