This controller will not hold the window completely shut. When attempting to close it requires 2 people, one outside pushing it in. However, it then pops open enough to catch the wind. There is no identification on the windows as to the Manufacturer and have no idea when these windows were installed. Purchased the house in 2006. I was able to open but not close my bathroom awning window. Its like the gear stripped. It is a right hand crank. The manufacturer is Alcan and it was installed in 1986. There are no brand markings on this part. The window is more then 10 years old and I don't know what brand it is, but the company may be out of business. Picture number 3 is one that still works. I am looking for a replace part. Thanks. Barb
