Slider is 20+ years old and the lock no longer works. Not sure if it's the white lever near the handle or the hook shaped piece inside the door. The latch for the sliding glass door will not raise the latch to lock the door. The inside lever is very loose and will no longer control the piece to latch on the lock.

The lock piece turns but will not catch. It needs a whole new locking mechanism.

Does the 82-030 handle set require the purchase of a new mortise lock, or will it fit my existing system, which looks like your part number 82-226.

The handle that I am holding in the first photo is what I am trying to find. It has no markings for the manufacturer, the handle angles away from the door jam so I can get a key in an out and lock it. I have a 2009 cascade thermal pro series white vinyl sliding patio door. Low e , insulated glass, super spacer. What part do I need? The installation company is no longer open.

I don't know whether I only need to replace the thumb latch, the mortise lock, or the whole handle (including lock and latch). Could you please advise? Thumb latch length is 1 7/8".
